Afghan Resettlement Project

The Afghan Resettlement Project is dedicated to assisting Afghan individuals and families as they transition to life in the United States. Our program provides comprehensive support to ensure that families can rebuild their lives with dignity and access the resources they need to thrive in their new community.

Our Services

We work collaboratively with families and community stakeholders to connect them with vital resources, including food assistance, transportation, translation services, educational, and immigration legal support.

We offer vocational training programs that equip clients with the skills needed for various industries, enhancing their employability and helping them achieve economic independence.

Bilingual, trauma-informed, and culturally aware therapists conduct mental health screenings and provide family prevention and early intervention services.

Specialized individual educational and psychosocial supports are also offered to help families integrate their experiences as they settle into New Mexico communities.

We facilitate support and wellness groups for Afghan families, providing a safe space for individuals to share their experiences, learn coping strategies, and build a supportive community.

Who We Serve

This project’s services are designed for Afghan individuals, children, and families in Santa Fe who are navigating the challenges of resettlement, helping them build a foundation for a stable and thriving life in their new home.
